Video in Social Media on the Rise

According to an eMarketer study, digital video will see a rapid increase on social media sites this year, specifically when it comes to advertising. In addition to Facebook and YouTube already pushing video ads hard, social media giants Twitter and Instagram are also both poised to roll out their own video advertising products this year. According to the study, video is on the rise because "Social properties provide a different viewing experience than YouTube or a TV network's streaming player." Read more about why here.
