A report released this week by comScore revealed that millennials (aged 18-34) who use TV as their primary source for entertainment has dropped to 21%, and that 76% of cord-cutters are satisfied with the over-the-top content that they have access too. These new stats come on the heels of a slew of television providers recently announcing stand-alone alternatives to their cable content, and a continuing 6.1% yearly increase in the cost of cable since 1995. But according to the President of HuffPost Live, Roy Sekoff, "We are certainly seeing a seismic shift in the way people consume content --- and a trend towards cord-cutters and cord-nevers. But millions and millions of people still watch what we'd think of as traditional TV". Read more about cord cutting and the future of TV here.
