HBO Now / Apple Deal

Last week HBO unveiled their new stand-alone service, HBO Now, along with an exclusive 3-month partnership with Apple products. Starting in April, Apple customers will be able to subscribe to HBO without a cable plan for $14.99 per month. After the 3 month exclusive period, HBO Now go wide on other, non-Apple devices. HBO Now's ultimate goal is to "take a huge slice of the online streaming services market to reach cord-cutters and other consumers who do not subscribe to traditional pay TV packages."
