MLB Advance Media, which is the internet and interactive branch of MLB, make headlines recently when it was announced that they would be handling the backend streaming for HBO's upcoming standalone service, HBO Now. The MLBAB, which was founded in 2000, has experienced massive growth over the past 15 years as has evolved into a "streaming delivery service that high-profile media companies are turning to in order to deliver mind-breaking amounts of video data reliably." The company streamed over 26 billion minutes of video alone last year, and is behind many of the big launches this year, including Sony Playstation Vue, MLB Opening Day, and March Madness.
