Global Music Market Study

Billboard posted an excellent wrapup of the much talked about IFPI's 2015 "Recording Industry in Numbers" report last week. The study, which notably reported a 0.4% drop in global music sales, revealed a plethora of research and information on the global record business. Several of the key takeaways include: despite their decline, physical formats continue to make up a significant portion of market sales; Latin America is the fastest growing region for music sales; and performance rights revenues are on track to cross $1 billion.
