Mobile Video Ad Revenue Growth

Numbers released by Business Insider Intelligence last week have projected that mobile video ad revenue will grow nearly 40% by the year 2020. Mobile ad revenue growth is about 3 times that of desktop computers, and total mobile ad revenue is expected to surpass that of desktop in 2020 at about $13.3 billion.

Perhaps the biggest surprise in this data is that it will take that long for mobile to surpass desktop. In early 2014, mobile apps surpassed desktop web and mobile web for time spent online in the US, even though more people have desktop devices than smartphones.
