Taylor Swift reinforced her dominance in the music industry this week when she posted an open letter to Apple Music on Tumblr condemning the company's 3-month "trial period" of their new service during which they would not pay royalties on any music streamed. The letter garnered tons of attention and prompted Apple to quickly backtrack and offer to pay royalties on everything streamed during the trial-period. As a result Taylor Swift's most recent album, 1989 (which was being withheld), will now become available to users of Apple Music.
