Verizon Planning Video Service

Following the completion of their acquisition of AOL last Tuesday, Verizon has announced plans to launch a premium video service this summer. According to Verizon, they are in the process of "securing live content, emerging content, on demand content and a number of fresh titles" for the service, which will be available on any network. The live content is said to include sports and live concerts (Verizon has deals with both the NFL and Live Earth) and the overall service will include ad-sponsored data and undefined "premium" offers.
