A new study released this week reveals that college students are more willing to pay for streaming music than non-students. 3 out of 4 (77%) college students surveyed said factors that would motivate them to upgrade from free streaming to a paid, premium tier would include "Broad accessibility, ease-of-use, getting music they want right away and music discovery". Only 46% of non-college students surveyed said the same. These are also interesting results because they show that features and access were more important to students than price when considering upgrading to a paid tier for music streaming.
