New BBC Radio Initiative

BBC Radio just announced several new initiatives, one of which will put it into a position to compete with Spotify. The upcoming 'New Music Discover Initiative' will make the most recent 50,000 tracks broadcast by the BBC available for users to stream for a limited time. The initiative will be powered by online music streaming service Beeb. According to the BBC, "We would make this product a champion for new UK music, whether that is the latest unsigned talent from BBC Introducing or a classical performance of new music commissioned and broadcast by Radio 3."
