YouTube + Twitter Add 'Buy' Buttons

This week YouTube and Twitter made it easier for consumers to directly purchase products advertised on their platforms with the introduction of a 'Buy' button. The new feature will take video viewers on YouTube directly to retailer's websites with a single click, and on Twitter the buttons will be directly embedded into tweets. According to the New York Times, the integrated 'Buy' button brings "a shopping element to yet another corner of the Internet, as highly trafficked websites and social networking services increasingly fashion themselves into shopping hubs."
