Conde Nast Acquires Pitchfork

It was reported this week that the popular digital-native music publisher Pitchfork has been acquired by publisher Conde Nast (who also own publications like Vanity Fair, Wired, and Vogue). Although no deal amount was disclosed, Pitchfork staff will now report to Conde Nast's Chief Digital Officer Fred Santarpia. In a statement to the New York Times regarding the acquisition, Pitchfork founder Ryan Schreiber said that Conde Nast's "belief in what we do, combined with their additional expertise and resources, will allow us to extend our coverage of the artists and stories that shape the music landscape on every platform."
