Instagram Marketing Growth

eMarketer revealed in a social media study this week that Instagram is on track to double the amount of companies who use the app for marketing by 2017. According to the study, 32.3% of US companies with 100+ employees use Instagram for marketing activities, and by the start of 2017 that number is projected to jump to 70.7%. This growth would edge out Twitter as the most popular social media marketing platform, whose use among marketers is expected to only increase about 1.4% by 2017. According to eMarketer, "marketers are rapidly embracing Instagram, signaling that they are intent on diversifying their social media marketing beyond the more established platforms."
