Snapchat Triples Video Traffic

This week Snapchat announced that they have tripled video traffic since last May, and is now racking up about 6 billion views daily. This increase brings Snapchat significantly closer to closing the gap with Facebook, which has about 8 billion daily video views (up from 4 billion in April). According to eMarketer, digital video revenue is forecasted to grow about 42% this year, as "Videos are fast becoming one of the most popular activities on social networking apps".
