Discovery Launches Standalone Streaming App

Discovery just released their very own standalone TV streaming app for pay-TV subscribers, called Discovery Go. The app, which works on Apple and Android devices, will allow users to stream the network's content live and on demand, including shows from Discovery, TLC, and Animal Planet. Sources say that Discovery was motivated to launch a standalone streaming app in large part because "cable and satellite companies dragged their feet with the rollout of TV Everywhere streaming services."
