Google Play Music Integrating Songza

Google announced plans this week to finally absorb Songza, the curated playlist service they acquired last year, into Google Play Music. Yesterday, users of the existing Songza app (about 5.5 million people) were informed that the website and app will shut down in January, and begin porting to Google Play Music. Google plans to gradually integrate Songza's features and offerings into their own next year as well. According to ReCode, "Time will tell if its subscribers will revolt against the change, but Google seems to be taking the transition with care." Read more on Google's plans for Songza here.
