2015 US Album Sales/Streaming

According to a recent Nielsen report, there was no decline in US album sales last year - they remained flat at 208.3 million. And physical album sales actually grew about 1.1%, which is a surprise when you look at the growth of streaming, which nearly doubled in 2015. According to MBW, these figures were all bolstered significantly by the record breaking success of the new Adele record, "which claimed 3.6% of all albums sold in the US in 2015, despite only being available for six weeks."
