Twitter Expanding Character Limit

It was reported this week that Twitter will soon expand their long time 140-character limit on tweets to as many as 10,000. The character increase, expected to be announced in March, would greatly change the dynamic of the social media platform - which is known for its quick and snappy posts. But according to sources close to Twitter, the company "is aiming to retain the look and feel of the user timeline. For tweets that are longer than 140 characters, users will have to click and expand to see the rest of the text."
