CW Launching Stand-Alone Streaming Service?

It was reported this week that the CW is planning to launch a stand-alone streaming service - just as the network's deals with Netflix, Hulu, and Tribune Media are about to end. Sources say the new service would cost around $2-$4 per month, and would give subscribers access to both live TV and on demand access to current programming. According to Mashable, the move would make a lot of sense for the CW, as it "would align with the network's efforts to keep up with its primarily young audience, who are increasingly turning to cord cutting rather than live TV viewing."
