CBS announced that for the first time ever, this year's Super Bowl will be available for viewers to stream through connected-TV devices like Roku, Xbox One, Apple TV and Chromecast. CBS's evolving strategy to capture higher audience numbers for the big game via digital also includes live-streamed ads this year. According to sources, "In selling this year's game, CBS required all national sponsors to run ads in the digital stream as well as the TV broadcast" - which means that viewers live streaming will see ads very similar to those on traditional TV.
