Instagram Unveils Scripted Series

Instagram unveiled their first ever scripted series this week - called Shield 5, which will air on the photo/video sharing platform as 28 15-second episodes running throughout the month. Each 'episode' of the show will also be paired with a photo, which will be key to the story as well. Instagram is calling this new content format "social cinema". According to Deadline, "Snapchat execs are also believed to be exploring how they can leverage their platform for scripted content."
