BuzzFeed Launches New Ad Format

During his keynote @ SXSW last weekend, BuzzFeed's marketing chief Frank Cooper announced that the popular publishing platform is testing a new ad format called Swarm. According to Cooper, the new format "allows advertisers to run campaigns simultaneously across all of his company's Web and mobile properties and six of its social platforms: Snapchat Discover, Vine, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr." The goal of the new format is to help BuzzFeed better leverage its cross platform distribution model for more brand dollars (by creating more reach for brands).
