YouTube's Music Usage

Last week's Infinite Dial report revealed some major stats about the penetration of YouTube into the music lives of Americans. According to the report, YouTube is the 3rd most popular source for US teens and adult to keep up with music - only behind friends/family and AM/FM radio. 66% of those surveyed listed YouTube as a 'very important' source when it came to new music, far outreaching competitive services like Pandora (45%) and Spotify (25%). The report also revealed that "53% of the American population uses YouTube for music monthly. That makes it the top audio brand for monthly listening." Read more on YouTube's music reach here.
