Instagram Changing Feed

This week Instagram announced a big change - users feeds will gradually start to show up in order of relevancy first, instead of chronologically. According to sources, the new feed will be ordered "based on the likelihood you'll be interested in the content, your relationship with the person posting and the timeliness of the post." The reason for the change likely has to do with several factors, including: the fact that Instagram users miss on average around 70% of the posts in their feed, and that filtered feeds (like Facebook's) tend to attract more engagement and attention from users.
