YouTube has run into more trouble with the labels, as it is being reported this week that their licensing deal with Universal Music Group has ended and shifted to a month-to-month rolling agreement. And according to Music Business Weekly, the same is about to happen with YouTube's Sony and Warner Music agreements as well. Renegotiation talks are said be in progress, with the major labels "demanding a fix and/or compensation from YouTube for the growing 'value gap' between the amount of consumption taking place on its platform and the cash it's paying out to music rights-holders."
