IFPI Releases Global Music Revenue Report

The interwebs have been buzzing this week after an in depth IFPI report on global music industry revealed that digital revenues have surpassed physical for the first time. According to the report "For the first time in a long time the music industry has been able to announce a significant growth in revenue: 3% up on 2014 to reach $15 billion." Industry analyst Mark Mulligan has done a great job breaking down the report, with deep dives on the main points including: flat revenue, decline of downloads and physical, acceleration of streaming growth, decline of ad supported revenue, and the net effect of streaming growth.
