YouTube introduced a major new capability this week - the ability to live stream 360-degree video with spatial audio. The first content available in the new format will be streamed from the ongoing Coachella music festival, and allow the listener to see and hear the stream with "real life depth, distance and intensity". According to YouTube's Chief Product Officer Neil Moran, "What excites me most about 360-degree storytelling is that it lets us open up the world's experiences to everyone. What were once limited experiences are now available to anyone, anywhere, at any time." Read the full story on YouTube's new 360-degree tech here.
