Spotify/Billboard Announce Exclusive Partnership

This week Spotify and Billboard announced an exclusive partnership, which will allow the streaming service "to power playback of more than 75Billboard music charts and will include a weekly New Music Fridays editorial feature and three additional Spotify-centric tallies." The partnership will result in three new Spotify-driven charts, which will be published weekly on Billboard.com: Viral 50 (based on social and sharing activity), the Velocity Chart (covering rapidly growing songs), and the Spotify Rewind Tally (reviving songs from the 1960s-2000s).
