Nielsen recently released their fourth quarter Total Audience Report, which shed light on the different and evolving radio habits of US millennials. The report studied the habits of different sub-groups within the 18-34 crowd, splitting them into 3: Dependent Adults, On Their Own Millennials and Starting A Family Millennials. According to survey results, radio reaches about 90% of Dependent Adults, 89% of On Their Own Millennials and 92% of Starting A Family Millennials. And "Although Pop Contemporary Hit Radio is the No. 1 format for all three groups, other format preferences within these groups vary by life stage experience."
