According to analytics company NewsWhip, Facebook has seen user interaction with non-video content fall sharply in the past few months. This is both good and bad for the social media giant - Facebook's recent push for video content has seen a valuable increase in engagement for this format... but this increase has simultaneously led to a decline in engagement in non-video content posted by leading publishers like Buzzfeed and Huffington Post. According to Fortune, "Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's relentless focus on video appears to be shaping the behavior of news consumers on the platform more than some publishers might like."
