Instagram Curating Videos

In its quest to become a video destination, Instagram has recently begun to make a lot of upgrades and changes. Most notably the addition of the Instagram Stories feature which, like Snapchat's Stories, lets people upload photos and videos that expire after 24 hours. And it was just announced last week that Instagram is going to start curating video content in a new category in the explore tab called "Event Video Channels", which will suggest user-generated videos from specific events (ex. An adele concert). According to sources, Instagram will use an algorithm to curate the video feeds around these events, and each user will see events personalized for them (so Instagram may suggest different events for you than it will for your friends).
