It's no secret among the industry that mobile advertising is on the rise, and eMarketer predicts that spending on the format will grow by rates of 20% or more through 2017. A new report breaks down some of the reason why advertisers are flocking to mobile video, and some of the challenges the medium still faces. Growth in mobile advertising has been largely fueled by advertisers looking to increase brand awareness, reach more targeted audiences and increase favorability by the brand - but challenges like holding consumers' attention and concerns on viewability have held some back from fully embracing the medium.
