Spotify Debuts Vertical Video Ads

This week Spotify debuted their first ever vertical video ads, through a new offering they are calling "branded moments". Free-tier users who view these 'branded moments' will be given 30 minutes of commercial free music streaming afterwards. According to Spotify, "the branded moments are based around six categories: chill time, workout, party, dinner, focus and sleep." Bacardi, Gatorade and Bose are a few of the brands testing out these new ads on Spotify, which is "catching up to the rest of the mobile industry with the vertical format."
