This week Instagram introduced some long-awaited e-commerce tools, which will make it easier for consumers to shop for products in their Instagram feeds. And while the new features won't actually allow users to purchase anything inside the Instagram app, they will help users identify and buy products featured in posts by brands. According to Recode, "select partners can include a "Tap to view products" icon in the lower corner of photos. Tapping on the icon brings up tags next to each product listing the item's name and price. Another tap loads a product page inside of Instagram with more information." Early partners using the new e-commerce tools include Abercrombie, Kate Spade and Macy's.
