YouTube Launches VR App

YouTube just launched a new standalone virtual reality app which will "turn every video on the platform into an immersive one". The new app will be available via Google's VR platform Daydream on compatible smartphones, and feature content from a variety of creators, recording artists and partners like Rooster Teeth and The Huffington Post. And according to sources, Google is rumored to also "be partnering with other online media players like Hulu and HBO Now - as well as sports content companies including the NBA and MLB - to develop their own apps for the Daydream platform."
