Warner Bros Acquires Machinima

It was announced this week that Warner Bros. has acquired fandom digital programmer Machinima. The terms of the deal were not announced but the acquisition will give Warner Bros. full control of Machinima, which is estimated to be valued at around $100 million. According to sources, Warner Bros. "sees an opportunity to forge more synergies between Machinima andits DC Entertainment properties, as well as with its portfolio of video games." And Machinima CEO Chad Gutstein has emphasized that his company will "now be able to take full advantage of Warner Bros.' intellectual property, sales and distribution, while still creating content for social and premium digital platforms that gamers and geeks love."
