This week Apple Music announced that they will now offer their competitive 'student pricing' deal in nearly 2 dozen new countries, including Canada, Japan, France and China. The deal (which rolled out in May to the U.S., U.K., Australia, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand and Denmark) reduces the cost of Apple Music significantly - for users in Canada and the US the price drops from $9.99/month to $4.99/month. The deal will last for 4 years for undergraduate students who sign up for the program, and 48 months for graduate students. According to Billboard "Apple works with a company called UNiDAYS to help verify that students looking to snag half off are actually enrolled in school. Students are also fast-tracked to the discount if they use a school email address or sign up using campus WiFi."
