Netflix Adds Offline Viewing

Big news for Netflix this week... the streaming video giant finally announced the addition of offline viewing this week - a feature that has been long requested from users. The new offline feature will allow users to download select video content onto their tablets and smartphones, and view at their convenience, regardless of an online connection. Netflix has begun adding the new 'download' buttons to their original content, and are expected to continue to add to the list of available offline content as they work out new licensing arrangements with the various content distributors. According to TechCrunch, content will "vary region-to-region, but there should be plenty to get you started for your commute or long-haul flight. You can also select from two different quality options, depending on whether you want to prioritize video quality or device storage space." Read more on the Netflix update here.
