Instagram Updates User Comments

This week Instagram made a major update to user comments, now allowing users to both like and disable comments on posts. The update is an effort by the social media platform to curb online abuse while simultaneously boosting engagement. Instagram will roll out the update to users over the next few weeks, adding a 'heart' icon next to comments to allow users to like them. Users will also soon start to see an option allowing them to disable comments entirely from a post if they choose, and remove unwanted users from their private accounts (instead of just blocking them).
