Big news for Tidal this week - the music streaming service just announced that it has signed a deal with Sprint to give the mobile carrier 33% ownership. Sprint reportedly paid $200 million for the deal, which also puts their CEO Marcelo Claure on Tidal's board. The deal will also give Sprint customers access to Tidal subscriber content. No word yet on what this new mobile service provider music bundlewill look like for customers, but no doubt Sprint is hoping it will be an enticing perk for potential customers. According to Fast Company though, "Tidal seems to have the most to gain in this deal, which is nothing short of a lifeline for the service." Read more about why here.
