eMarketer just broke down a new study by Videology on the TV habits of millennial males, which suggests that they are cutting the cord more than ever before. According to the survey, only 1/3 of millennial males expect to pay for cable in 2017, and that they see digital devices as more critical to their lives than TV. And while it is important to note that the Videology study's results (which only surveyed 500 males) may stand in contrast to larger, broader studies, it likely "reflects some fundamental economic and cultural truths about millennial males." eMarketer digital analyst Paul Verna notes that "Digital video services are luring millennials with everything from NFL games to top-quality dramas to live streams of breaking news events".
