This week reports have emerged that Disney-owned Maker Studios is looking to downsize their massive network of thousands of creators to around 300. The news comes on the heels of a major scandal involving Maker Studios' high profile star PewDiePie (which led to the studio parting ways with the show's creator). According to the Hollywood Reporter, Maker wants to downsize their creator network in order to focus on their top-tier channels, which will also result in a significant amount of company layoffs.
