This week the popular Amazon-owned gaming site Twitch launched a Twitter-clone called Pulse. According to a press release, Pulse is “a place where streamers can post and engage with all of their followers and the greater Twitch community right from the Twitch front page.” Pulse will allow Twitch broadcasters to post text, links, images and video to their friends and followers – which will then appear to their followers in reverse-chronological order on the homepage. The new feature is a smart move by Twitch to help broadcasters promote themselves and communicate with their followers (top broadcasters have over a million apiece), and will roll out to all users over the next few weeks.
