Facebook Announces First Original Shows

This week Facebook announced that their first 'original' shows will include a re-boot of MTV's cancelled scripted series Loosely Exactly Nicole and a reality completion titled Last State Standing. Last State Standing (which is already in production) will reportedly feature one contestant from each of the 50 states, who will compete in "unique and crazy games" for a $500,000 cash prize. According to Tubefilter, this content will exist "In a new video tab, where Facebook will reportedly feature two kinds of programming: TV-like projects likeNicoleandLast State, for which the company is looking to spend six figures per episode, and short-form digital seriesfrom the likes ofBuzzFeed,Vox,ATTN, andGroup Nine Media."
