Instagram Stories Growth

Instagram's answer to Snapchat, Stories, keeps on growing and growing. It was reported this week that Instagram Stories is now used by 250 million people every day, and has added 50 million users in the past 2 months. This is especially significant for 2 reasons - 1) Stories is growing faster now than it was in the beginning of the year, and 2) about 100 million more people are using Stories per day than Snapchat (who invented the disappearing content format). Recode reports that on the heels of these amazing numbers being reported, Instagram added a significant update to Stories which will allow live videos to live on Stories for 24 hours (rather than disappearing once the live broadcast ends).
