New BBC Live Music Show

It was announced last week that BBC plans to launch a new Top of the Pops-style music show (a huge live performance show which was canceled 11 years ago). The name, schedule, and release date is yet to be confirmed, but the new show will reportedly be a 6-part music series broadcast live at peak times in the evening. Each episode will be 30-min long, and feature sketches and interviews in addition to the live performances. In a press release, Bob Shennan, director of BBC Radio and Music, said: "This series will be a fantastic opportunity to showcase the biggest and best UK and international bands and artists and we're looking forward to working with one of the world's most innovative and creative TV production companies."
