Apple's Upcoming iPhone Event

Recode did an excellent breakdown this week of why Apple's Sept. 12th iPhone event is its most important in years. Most notably because CEO Tim Cook is expected to reveal a new iPhone, Apple Watch, and Apple TV - as well as a new push for HomePod (Apple's forthcoming home speaker system). According to Recode, "this is Apple's chance to show it can still make the best stuff, while also driving its sales growth streak." It can do this in a few ways, including: catching the iPhone up to high-end Android designs, more capabilities (including Wifi) for the Apple Watch, and by introducing a HomePod speaker offering that can rival (or at least match) Amazon's wildly successful Alexa and Echo speakers.
