Americans Are Digging It

Digg, one of the original social news sites, is still the leader. According to Business Insider, ComScore data shows Digg dominating the competition. In August, Digg attracted 17.4 unique visitors, almost twice what their main competitors attracted combined. Yahoo's Buzz was second with 7 million, while Propeller, Reddit and Mixx reached just over 2 million combined. Digg credits a number of factors for their strong growth, including new features such as their integration with Facebook Connect, DiggBar and Digg Dialogs.
