Vevo Launches Next Week

Vevo, the major label's music video site, is set to launch on Tuesday December 8th. Vevo is a joint venture between the major labels and YouTube. At the launch, Vevo will have videos from Universal and Sony. There will also be a special Vevo channel on YouTube. The announcement of the launch date came just after Hulu, the joint venture between TV networks, announced that it was also going to make some music videos available. Vevo is generally following the blueprint laid down by Hulu; the content producers are combining forces to try to create a better user experience with an ad-supported model.
