Internet Ad Spending...Up Or Down?

Depending on how you look at it, Internet advertising revenue was either up or down in the third quarter of 2009. The IAB (Internet Advertising Bureau) announced that Pricewaterhouse Cooper figures for the third quarter show that online ad revenue was up 1.7% compared to the second quarter of 2009, but down by 5.4% when compared to the third quarter of 2008. Total third quarter online ad spending was $5.5 billion, making it the first quarter-to-quarter increase since Q3-to-Q4 2008.
Total Internet ad spending is still 15% below its peak in late 2008, but at least it's back to 2007 levels, which is more than you can say for other advertising media:
